About me

I am a lecturer at Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy working on astronomy, statistics and data science. My astronomy research is mostly focused on understanding the population and behavior of stellar-mass black holes and neutron stars in our Galaxy through the lens of observations with facilities across the electromagnetic spectrum. My statistics work is mostly focused on analysis of heteroskedastic time-series data, censoring, and bayesian mechanistic modeling (particularly in astronomy). In data science, I focus on relational models in large heterogeneous datasets, declarative visualization and scientific information design.
